SITUATION

A clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company in the ophthalmic space with a platform technology wanted to better understand the market opportunity for a new indication for their lead asset​. The company needed to assess the value of the opportunity to support their valuation in fund raising.

OUR ROLE

Spinnaker interviewed HCPs, KOLs, payers, and patients to discover how satisfied they were with current treatment algorithms​, what unmet needs they had in the indication​, and what their reaction was to the proposed product​.

IMPACT

Spinnaker identified a significant unmet need in this indication and helped prioritize it versus others the company was considering​. Spinnaker’s assessment of the opportunity increased the company valuation and supported their efforts to close on $65M in additional investment.
